Relatively dense population and gentle transition from beach to upland. First objective - the Pegasus Bridge, and the strategic city of Caen beyond. British 3rd Infantry pushing ashore beyond the stout shoreline defenses to find heavy German armor in the form of two Panzer divisions.

The Event
21 kilometers. Otillo SwimRun format, with the group formed into teams of two running and swimming together. A course along the River Orne to the Pegasus Bridge, and then through fields and villages back to the landing beaches. Two educational walks to open your eyes to the history here.

The Logistics
A motor coach will bring you and your gear to Ouistreham Riva Bella for the start. Your extra gear and any special food or drink you've got will follow us throughout the day and be available between stages. With our loop course you'll end up back at the start at day's end where the motor coach will return us to Bayeu
